Welcome to the development command centre for Interstellar Conflict Online (ICO). This game is engineered by an independent solo developer who has spent a lifetime mastering science-fiction 4X games—and dreaming of building the ultimate space strategy sandbox for almost as long.
The vision for ICO is over 10 years old. It has taken nearly 2 years of dedicated engineering to forge our stable, high-performance Spring Boot backend and modern React frontend — the foundation required to scale this into a true persistent multiplayer grand strategy experience.
Our current Alpha phase is locked onto three critical operational milestones: perfecting our core architectural loops, balancing the delicate planetary ledger economies (such as population delta shifts and relief import tariffs), and deploying an intuitive quest-driven tutorial system to guide incoming commanders into the void.
